View counts: 777On July 7th, 2025, at 05:46 (UTC), the Sentinel-5P/TROPOMI satellite detected the eruption of Indonesia's Lewotobi Volcano (8°32′30″ S, 122°46′30″ E). A distinct SO₂ plume was clearly visible above the volcano. Satellite image shows that there is a notable distribution of SO₂ concentrations around the volcano, with prominent high-value areas. The SO₂ plume generated by this eruption may have potentially adverse impacts on the regional atmospheric composition and ecological environment.
